A recent article from the University of Washington highlighted how certain strains of bacteria are found to leave ?polysaccharide trails?, or chemical paths for other bacteria to follow in order to grow colonies. The research was done on certain P. aeruginosa bacteria, which were found to follow each other to form bacteria colonies.
